I have a boarder collie mix that works to tear every toy apart, she just loves to rip all her items to pieces. She also doesn’t understand that every toy is not a “pull” toy. That combination causes us to really go through any toys that are not a good hard, natural rubber. Fetch toys and throw toys are the worst for holding up as they are usually fabric or fabric covered and get the threads and seams torn up right away. Even the thick rubber Kong type Frisbees get holes punched in the center and eventually the center torn completely out.

This toy is the first that really lasts. She can’t tear out the seams or the threads so far and it has been a year since we got it. I have this exact brand and the one I have had two squeakers in it. She did manage to kill one of the squeakers pretty quickly, but the second one is holding up well.

It should also be noted this toy is rather hard/stiff and heavier than a Frisbee, at least the size I have is, it is about the same diameter as a Frisbee. This means that the size I have could hit a dog if thrown and then came down hitting the dog, not being properly caught, potentially hurting I am sure. My dog and I make sure to play pretty carefully when using it as a Frisbee type toy. But as I said, every game for her is really about pull/tug-o-war and that is where this item really excels, even if it might not be specifically designed for that.

I love this one! And my dog loves chasing it when thrown like a frisbee. Seems very durable, although I have not left her alone to chew it. We use it for fetch at the park.

Yes, yes, and yes again. My dog has had this toy for months now, and it’s still in one piece. She’s taken off the label, and pulled the sewn threads, but the toys itself is still here. This is the same dog that can go through a pork thigh bone in an hour. If only they had more toys for her. By and far the best toy I’ve found for our dog!

Got a dog or dogs that are Hell On Toys?

This is the toy for YOU! I raise and show Australian Cattle Dogs and they excell at destroying toys. A typical frizby last 15-30 minutes.

The Firehose toys last until someone decides to bury it. Then it’s just a matter of time until it’s uncovered and the fun begins again! These thing are great! Flies like a frisby and last forever!
